Nowadays you can buy a sofa in a flat package, and "assemble" him for half an hour. The idea of sofas and chairs fill the air born over 100 years ago. In 1895, someone put Ruth Lynford experiments by pumping steam mattresses in the sleeping cars of the train. Unfortunately, the pair slowly coming out of flimsy mattresses, and passengers soon found themselves on the hard seats. This - the first known attempt to use air as a filler.
In the seventies of the last century from the air (inflatable) furniture appeared already more realistic shape and relative strength. It was produced when polyvinyl chloride (PVC), parts of which were welded together and then swelled in the form of furniture. But, alas, the quality of this furniture was still quite low.
Designs which would make it possible to sell sofas and armchairs in flat packages that promised huge savings for manufacturers, retailers, customers and the environment. The breakthrough for the implementation of a new idea occurred in 1993. Appeared soft, high-tech material and the necessary production technology. Used plastic - one of the purest materials and, most importantly, one hundred percent recyclable. In case of fire, it allocates very little energy, is practically non-toxic vapors and small amount of smoke.
Within each of these furniture products - a lot of plastic containers - air units. They can be inflated flow created by a hair dryer or say vacuuming. The sofa can be "collected" in minutes! Air units are manufactured in one piece and have no seams, which could allow air. Inlet has high integrity, and removable cape-shell easily washed in the washing machine.
There is no need to pump air cells within a fraction of at least three years. And changing the amount of air in the blocks, you can choose for themselves the degree of elasticity of the chair or sofa. The air inside the inflatable furniture allows you to comfortably encircle and repeat the shape of the body, following your every movement. But, despite the extremely light weight, such furniture can stand firmly on the floor.
